 Who is nurse?

 A nurse is one who opens the eyes of a newborn & gently closes the eyes of a dying man.It is indeed a high blessing to be first and last to witness the beginning and End of life. Nurses are blessed to provide care to the patient in different ways like: medication, grooming, motivation, education and empathy for their illness and diseases. A nurse is a person who trained to give care (help) to people who are need care. Nurses work with doctors and other health care workers to make patients well (not sick) and to keep them fit and healthy. Nurses also help with end-of-life needs and assist other family  member with grieving.  The term NURSE stands for:

N- Nurture/nurturing.


U- Universal/Understanding.


R- Responsible.


S- Smart.


E- Educated/Extraordinary.

Nursing as a profession:

The theory of nursing knowledge and nursing practice presents a global perspective of the science and arts of nursing and accounts for the past, present, and future impacts on nursing knowledge and nursing practice. All over the world nurses are required to serve the needy, sick, injured and ill people. In different parts of the world nurses are by different names like: caretaker, caregiver, governess, educatrix and midwifery.  Nursing is a profession, like a doctor, but training for a nurse is different.Training they need, in some places nurses may train for three to five years or more before they get a license as a nurse. They work in many places like: hospitals, doctor's office and in various communities. Sometimes people decide to become nurse rather then doctors, because the nurses will be able to help patients directly, by talking to them, doing things they need, carefully watching that nothing goes wrong, and then seeing them as they get better from their illness. 



 Nursing is a blessing profession for mankind.
